WEST LAFAYETTE, IN – Learn how Purdue’s Bechtel Innovation Center is changing the way students engage with CNC machine tools in a Maker Space that’s open to all, at University known for its engineering prowess. Through the generosity of the Gene Haas Foundation, the Bechtel Center located in the heart of the university with a glass curtainwall exposing the Haas machines, many of which face outward, to students on heavily trafficked sidewalks. This was purposely done to create an inviting space for students with curiosity to enter.
Inside, the Bechtel Innovation Center has several Haas VMC’s, Y-Axis CNC Lathes, a Gantry Mill and several Haas CNC Control Simulators. No matter what your college major, or background, students are able to use these machines after completing a student-taught course.
